As a child, my Dad took me and my siblings on a yearly canoe trip. We cooked on a fire, boiled our drinking water and slept in tents that kept most of the water out. Over the years, we learned a bit about what to do, and a lot about what not to do! Thirty some years later, I certainly don't pretend to know everything about the outdoors, but I have spent a lot of time paddling in Central Ontario. Follow these links to hear about some of our stories and some of the things that we have learned. A special thanks to my brother Dan (AKA: Uncle Travelling Dan) for the the many memories in recent years and for contributing regularly with his blog.
I hope that you will find something on this website that makes your trip more enjoyable, or if nothing else, makes you smile!
